We believe that the energy and intention of a place has a strong effect on one's experience, for better or for worse. For this reason, we have chosen two sacred and magical locations to host our offerings. Each of these sanctuaries will become a character in the story of your journey, choose your own adventure wisely.

Costa Rica and Italy are extremely different in many ways, yet the locations we have chosen have been established on principles of environmental stewardship and sustainability, beautiful and functional design in alignment with the surrounding Nature, both are places to draw on for creative inspiration, and also to find Spiritual connection and peace.

Within the full spectrum of wonderful and unique aspects that each of these properties avails, we truly offer something for everyone.

Plan for your experience:

Fly on Sansa, Costa Rica Green Airways or Aerobell ( from San Jose International Airport into Tambor. It is a beautiful 20 minute flight followed by a 40 minute taxi ride. There is a $2.25 airport tax to be paid upon disembarking the small plane. Be ready with exact change for that. It works best to plan your travel for the day before the training begins and to spend Saturday night in Montezuma or Cabuya. This will give you a chance to settle in at The Sanctuary on Sunday. Arrival at The Sanctuary on Sunday is around noon. We serve a delicious lunch at 2:00pm and our first training session starts at 4:00. This session is a required part of the training so please don’t be late! Plan your departure for late morning on our final Saturday. Our program ends after breakfast and check out time at The Sanctuary is 10am.

We have two optional group excursions as a part of our adventure. The first Saturday of our training, we have the opportunity to visit beautiful Santa Teresa where you can take a surf lesson, check out some super bohemian boutiques for bikinis, unique jewelry and sundresses, enjoy a tropical superfood smoothie and chill on the expansive beach. The following week, we will visit Montezuma. Here, you can explore the famous Montezuma Waterfall, shop, surf, have lunch like a local and enjoy the beautiful beach. These excursions incur additional cost.

Another unique aspect to our training at The Sanctuary are the powerful Nature rituals that are scheduled on both Sundays of the program. We hike in the rivers to secluded waterfalls with intention, connection and purpose.

The YTT schedule is very full and does not leave much unstructured time to explore on your own. Please come a few days early or plan a few days after the program to do that.

What to bring:

You will need at least 2 notebooks, several pens in different colors, flashlight with batteries, sturdy river walking shoes (have these on your feet upon arrival), insect repellant, eco-friendly personal care products (lavender, peppermint & tea tree essential oils come in handy, so does baby powder), first aide necessities (insect bite soother & arnica are essentials), easy to store snacks like dried fruits, nuts and nut butters, and cash for taxis ($50 each way from Tambor airstrip to The Sanctuary) & staff gratuity (suggested amount is $200 for 21 days for dining service, daily house keeping, weekly laundry service, luggage transport, concierge services and more). Our housekeeping staff will do laundry for you at the end of weeks 1 & 2. Bring eco-friendly laundry soap (like Dr. Bronner's) to supplement with hand washing. We have yoga mats and props here, but I also recommend bringing a yogi toes towel because it will get sweaty ;).
